Ethnic groups
Well over half of Guatemalans are of Mayan descent. There is also a large Ladino population (who may be descended from Native Americans or Spaniards but don't identify themselves as indigenous). And there are small groups of indigenous Garifuna - a black indigenous community - and Xinca.
